Exploring the Different Bowling Variations
On December 21, 2013 in the Duckpin Challengers League, 23-year old Sean Crist made big news at Hagerstown's Southside Bowl when he posted a fabulous "200" game, with a sensational 5 strikes in a row to highlight the effort.
After a solid opening in the game with a score of 37 after 3 frames, Crist then began his offensive barrage with 5 crushing strikes in frames 4 through 8. Sean followed the 5-bagger with a healthy 8 count in the 9th frame, and then converted the spare break. Another good count of 6 on his first ball in the 10th frame, along with a final 9 for the frame closed out Sean's tremendous performance with an even "200" score.

BIEDERMAN WINS IN CLOSE DECISION OVER CEREZAL IN IDBC FINAL
John Biederman and Gerardo Cerezal represented the United States and Argentina in the final contest of the Inter-Continental Duckpin Bowling Challenge on July 2, 2014 at White Oak Bowling Lanes in Silver Spring, Maryland (USA). Biederman won the tightly contested "best 2 out of 3 game" match to climax the grand event.
Cerezal was true to form from his 'tournament-high' pinfall total of 4069 for the event (150.7 average) that led to the final, and claimed Game 1 over Biederman, 143-128. But John rebounded and evened the contest, 150-139 in Game 2. Biederman started fast in Game 3, marking in the first 5 frames. Although trailing in the early going, Cerezal showed the 'heart of a lion' and made an heroic charge with marks in frames 7, 8, and 9 to tighten the match. But Biederman's strong marks in frames 7 and 8 ended up being the difference in the contest. Biederman marked once more at the very end to come away with the win in a 169-135 victory over the International star, Cerezal.
